Today in Trump Tweets: ‘A Fake News Joke’ and Another Fox News Retweet
For the third day in a row, President Donald Trump took to Twitter Wednesday morning with some thoughts on the current news cycle.
His ire this time was directed towards The New York Times.
The failing @nytimes writes false story after false story about me. They don’t even call to verify the facts of a story. A Fake News Joke!

While Trump’s tweet references their alleged writing of “false story after false story” about the president, the Times could be in his crosshairs after Tuesday evening’s reports that former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is suing the publication over alleging she could be tangentially connected to the 2012 shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.
From there, POTUS widened his shot by taking aim that the broader subject of the “Fake News Media” and their coverage of his dealings with the current health care legislation:
Some of the Fake News Media likes to say that I am not totally engaged in healthcare. Wrong, I know the subject well & want victory for U.S.

Rounding out his morning tweetstorm, Trump then retweeted “Fox & Friends,” if only to share what legislation the House was set to vote on that day:

In his own defense, however, in a Monday press conference with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Trump called himself — and his guest — “leaders in social media.”
