During yesterday’s hear, former FBI Director James Comey admitted to the Senate Panel that he himself leaked documents to the New York Times about his meeting with President Trump. The way Comey got it to them without being caught was by using his old friend, Law Professor Daniel Richman.

However, what was REALLY interesting is what happened to Richman MOMENTS after Comey went on television. First, Richman told the Press that he was behind the leaks. Then he did the Unthinkable…

Daniel Richman went into hiding.

Now, why would he have possibly gone into hiding? Oh wait, that’s right, because he and his buddy Comey BROKE THE LAW.

Despite knowing the documents were FBI property, Richman took the documents Comey had illegally taken with him after his firing. He then took those government documents, allegedly recording sensitive conversations with the US President, and gave them to the Press.

t may not end with this single leak, either. According to an article by the New Yorker last month, Richman has long been Comey unofficial “media surrogate” so he can get information out.

I’d say if this man has nothing to hide, he should come forward and face his own judgment like a man. This cowardly “leak-and-leave” scenario needs to end.

Even James Comey said leakers hurt our country. Well, if they knowingly leaked while KNOWING it would hurt America, how is it not a crime?

But high hopes turned to dashed dreams when Comey’s testimony cleared President Trump. Not only did the testimony vindicate the commander in chief, it included a startling revelation that Obama-era Attorney General Loretta Lynch attempted to influence the criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton.

Here are the five facts that emerged from the Comey hearing and shattered Democratic dreams:

1. There was no investigation into President Donald Trump

Comey’s written statement confirmed that on three separate instances he told the president “we were not investigating him personally.” Again, in open session, he emphatically testified “[t]here [was] not a counterintelligence investigation of Mr. Trump” during his tenure. He agreed to calling that “a fact we can rely on.”

It appears the Democratic demonization of Trump is thus far unfounded.

2. The mainstream media accusations of Russian collusion were inaccurate

On Feb. 14, The New York Times reported based on infamous anonymous sourcing “Trump Campaign Aides Had Repeated Contacts with Russian Intelligence.” Today, we learned that story “was not true,” in the words of Comey.

In fact, the story so upset Comey that he surveyed the intelligence community to see if there was something he was missing. He took the extra step of seeking out Republican and Democratic senators to say that the article was not factual.

Comey went further in his testimony pointing out the problem with the media’s anonymous source reporting. “The people talking about it often don’t really know what’s going on,” he said, later adding, “[T]here have been many, many stories reportedly based on classified information … especially about Russia that are just dead wrong.”

It makes one wonder how many other fake news stories are floating around.

3. No one ordered Comey to stop an investigation

Sen. Richard Burr bluntly asked Comey, “[D]id the president at any time ask you to stop the FBI Investigation into Russian involvement in the 2016 U.S. elections?”  “No,” Comey replied. Comey then went on to confirm that no one working in the administration asked him to stop the investigation either.

With regard to the investigation into Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, Comey alleges Trump said, “I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go….” Comey claims he took this as a “direction,” though he gave a plethora of excuses for why he did not confront Trump about what he viewed as an inappropriate directive. He didn’t have “presence of mind” or “strength,” he claimed, before ultimately claiming he just “doesn’t know” why he did not stand up to the “direction.”

But as Sen. James Risch pointed out, “You may have taken it as a direction, but that’s not what he said.” Comey was forced to say, “correct” and admit that Trump did not direct him in his exact words. “Not in his words, no … those words are not an order,” Comey admitted. Comey was ultimately forced to concede that no one has ever been charged with obstruction of justice for “hoping” something.

Comey’s admission that he was not ordered to drop the investigation aligns with Wednesday’s testimony from NSA Director Mike Rogers and DNI Director Dan Coats. Rogers testified, “I have never been directed to do anything I believe to be illegal, immoral, unethical or inappropriate.” Coats likewise said, “I have never been pressured” nor have I “felt pressure to intervene.”

5. Attorney General Lynch tried to influence the Clinton criminal investigation

Obama Attorney General Loretta Lynch rightfully came under heavy fire for secretly meeting Bill Clinton on a tarmac just days before his wife, former Secretary of State and presidential contender Hillary Clinton, was cleared of criminal wrongdoing by the FBI. Today, we learned Lynch tried to influence Comey by asking him to call the criminal investigation a “matter,” not an “investigation.”

The request “confused me and concerned me,” said Comey, who saw this as an effort to ask the FBI to coordinate its messaging with a political campaign.

Taken together, when pushed on providing evidence of Russian collusion over the past few months, Democrats like Sen. Dianne Feinstein were forced to admit they had none. “Newspaper stories,” she cited last month to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. The same newspaper stories Comey called into question today.

Evidence-free accusations are dangerous and irresponsible. Today’s Comey hearing should serve as a valuable lesson to Democrats: When you proffer conclusions without evidence, it will come back to bite you.

Hillary Clinton has blamed her election loss on the Russians, among many other scapegoats. While Comey admitted Russian attempts to influence the U.S. election, he flatly concluded that no votes were altered in the 2016 election.

Today has been full of big news. First, James Comey outed himself as a leaker and hinted at collusion between Hillary Clinton and Loretta Lynch.

Now Trey Gowdy just got the official call to do a job that will make him one of the MOST POWERFUL people in the entire country…

Trey Gowdy is the new Head of the House oversight committee.

Gowdy is replacing outgoing head Jason Chaffetz, who decided to step down before ending his term.

While the name “House oversight committee” may not sound exciting, it is one of the most powerful positions in the US government. Gowdy essentially now has complete oversight and ethics determination of the White House from now until he steps down or the majority changes.

Could this be the final piece of the puzzle needed to Drain the Swamp? Trey Gowdy sure did a number on Hillary during that Benghazi hearing and has been on fire ever since. Maybe it’s time to take her down for real.

Regardless, it is great news. Even though the story was initially reported to CNN by “sources”, Paul Ryan quickly confirmed the news and congratulated Gowdy on his accomplishment.

“Trey Gowdy possesses the experience and deep commitment to transparency and accountability necessary to be the House’s next Oversight chairman. He has proven that he will always look out for taxpayers and seek answers from the bureaucracy. Trey has my absolute confidence, and I know he will do an outstanding job.”

For once, I agree with Paul Ryan 100%. Sure, I would have loved to see Gowdy on the Supreme Court or in the FBI, but this is a great job for him to.

Who knows, maybe if we share this out and let him know how much we support him, there could be a President Gowdy in 2024 (after Trump’s 2nd term).

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) is calling for President Trump to testify before congressional investigators about his interactions with fired FBI Director James Comey, after the former top cop testified before a Senate panel about his conversations with the president.

“What’s most important is that investigators in the Senate and at the Department of Justice get all the facts and find the truth,” Murphy said in a statement.

“If the White House’s account differs from what we heard today, the American people deserve to hear the president’s side of the story in a similar forum — under oath and open to the press,” he added.

In a highly anticipated testimony Thursday, Comey told members of the Senate Intelligence Committee that Trump had asked him in private conversations for a pledge of loyalty and once urged him to shut down his agency’s investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Trump abruptly fired Comey last month, initially arguing that his handling of the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton‘s private email use damaged the bureau’s credibility and destroyed confidence in Comey’s ability to do his job.

But in an interview with NBC’s Lester Holt, Trump acknowledged that he had thought of the FBI’s Russia investigation in his decision to fire Comey. Subsequent news reported also revealed that the president had told visiting Russian officials a day after he ousted Comey that doing so relieved him of “great pressure” because of the probe.

Trump has also publicly denied ever asking Comey to pledge his loyalty, issuing a flat rejection of that account at a news conference last month. Comey said on Thursday that that assertion was not true.

Still, whether Trump should testify before a congressional panel is a question that has rarely been raised, and it is not common for a sitting president to do so.

In yet another crackdown on Obama-era corruption, Attorney General Jeff Sessions sent out a memo Wednesday stating that the Department of Justice (DOJ) would end an Obama administration policy of directing large corporations to settle lawsuits by paying unrelated outside groups. Those payments will now go instead to either victims or the Treasury Department.

Republicans had accused Eric Holder’s Justice Department of creating “slush funds” for liberal interest groups with the practice. AG Sessions said of the rule change:

“When the federal government settles a case against a corporate wrongdoer, any settlement funds should go first to the victims and then to the American people—not to bankroll third-party special interest groups or the political friends of whoever is in power.”

He continued with:

“Unfortunately, in recent years the Department of Justice has sometimes requires or encouraged defendants to make these payments to third parties as a condition of settlement. With this directive, we are ending this practice and ensuring that settlement funds are only used to compensate victims, redress harm, and punish and deter unlawful conduct.”

An example of this Obama administration practice would be when Gibson Guitar Group had to donate to the Fish and Wildlife Foundation as part of an agreed settlement with the DOJ for illegally importing exotic wood.

Republicans in both the House and Senate have been demanding that this practice end practically since its inception. Here’s one Congressman urging the corrupt policy to be put to bed:

Today, in Comey’s letter before his hearing, he said that it was he who OFFERED the information to Donald Trump. The President never even asked.

Now CNN has issued a Public Apology to the President and the People.

CNN rereleased the story with the new headline “Comey Unlikely to Judge on Obstruction” and this poor excuse for a fake news apology:

“CORRECTION AND UPDATE: This article was published before Comey released his prepared opening statement. The article and headline have been corrected to reflect that Comey does not directly dispute that Trump was told multiple times he was not under investigation in his prepared testimony released after this story was published.”

Look, if you get the facts wrong in a story, it happens. However, CNN made up their story from beginning to end and now want a revision? It’s just sad.

Fox News host Neil Cavuto gave President Trump some tough love on Tuesday, criticizing Trump’s use of social media and accusing him of alienating members of his own party.

“Mr. President, it is not the fake news media that’s your problem. It’s you,” said Cavuto, who has been with Fox since the early days of the network in 1996. “It’s not just your tweeting, it’s your scapegoating. It’s your refusal to see that sometimes you’re the one who’s feeding your own beast.”

This week alone, Trump has used Twitter to go after everyone from the “fake news” media, a favorite target, to the mayor of London, Sadiq Khan. Don’t expect him to stop anytime soon.

The host laid into Trump for creating division within his own administration, warning that “if he keeps doing what he’s doing, they’re all going to be politically puking next year.”

Cavuto tried to give Trump a little “common sense” saying, “Mr. President, they didn’t tweet disparaging comments about a London mayor in the middle of a murder spree — you did. They didn’t turn on a travel ban that you signed — you did. You’re right to say a lot of people are out to get you … but … the buck stops with you, Mr. President.”

He urged Trump to treat the critique coming from “usually friendly and supportive allies as sort of like an intervention … because firing off these angry missives and tweets risk your political destruction.”

Cavuto isn’t the only person to criticize the president’s tweets this week. George Conway, husband of presidential adviser Kellyanne Conway, also called the president out for tweeting about his proposed travel ban.

Waters was referring to the president’s controversial history with allegations of sexual assault. Multiple women spoke out last year against Trump, accusing him of sexual assault after he was heard talking about groping and kissing women without their consent in a leaked 2005 “Access Hollywood” video.

Comey said in his testimony he told Attorney General Jeff Sessions he wanted to “prevent any future direct communication between the president and me.”

The former FBI director will testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday. Comey will confirm reports saying the president urged him to “let go” of the FBI probe into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
